With oil prices continuing to rise every day, more companies are looking at bioenergy to fuel cars and other items that we all use. Everyone can participate in the creation of bioenergy with a few easy tasks at home. One of the simplest ways to contribute to bioenergy is by creating compost at home. This involves a large box or an area preferably outside at your home. Most food scraps can be added to the compost as well as things that are biodegradable. As everything in the compost breaks down it creates a fertilizer that can be used for plants and vegetables. Decomposition takes some time to finish but the result will be healthier plants in the garden. Farmers can plant corn and harvest it for fuel as well. Animals on farms can offer biofuel as well. The waste that animals produce can be stored and made into a natural gas. It will need to be stored somewhere and it is not that appealing but it will save on greenhouse gas emissions. Cows are the best known animal for collecting waste material and reusing it. With the recycling of food products and the planting of certain crops, all of us can contribute to bioenergy today.
